Aches and Pains

Aches and pains can be really common and they can affect every part of your body. The most common affected area is muscles and joints. They can affect several parts of the body at the same time. Aches and pains in muscles can be very painful and make general task very difficult on other occasions their only unpleasant and short-lasting. Aches and pains can also affect our head, back, some bones, etc., but they generally affect muscles in some part of the body, especially if the muscle is injured from exercising or strenuous work.

If you are active for long periods of time during the day you can develop aches and pains in your muscles. Many doctors suggest resting for 3 to 4 hours a day if you are carrying out strenuous work. Poor health can result in several muscles being in pain throughout the body. This is often a result of infections such as the flu, cold, etc., or other disorders that affects interlinking tissues across the whole body, an example of this is lupus.

People are really not that well informed about the most likely causes of aches and pains in the muscles. The most likely causes of muscle pains are tension or stress, sprains and strains due to injury, overuse such as using a particular muscle too often , too much , too quickly , drug abuse, ACE inhibitors which are used to lowering blood pressure, dermatomyositis, electrolyte imbalances due to too little nutrients, fibromyalgia, etc. There are some infections that can cause muscles pains such as malaria, Influenza (everyday flu), Lyme disease, polio, muscle abscess, lupus, Polymyalgia rheumatic, trichinosis, Polymyositis and many other types of infections.


Treating the problem

Aches and pains in muscles can be treated with some home care but before that you must know the causes of those muscles pains. It is recommended that if the pain increases you should visit your doctor and do some tests. If your muscle pain is from a minor injury or overuse putting some ice on the muscle during the first couple of days of the injury and resting is recommended to lower pain and swelling. You can also reduce some muscle pains by having a massage or carrying out a gentle stretch routine after you have rested. To stop aches and pains from developing you could start going for walks more often or do some aerobic activities several times in a week. Regular exercise is really good for your bones and muscle tissue and can reduce pains and aches. While you are suffering from any soreness you must not do high-intensive aerobic activities and be careful not to hurt yourself further during other gentler exercises. Getting the correct level of sleep and reducing stress can help the recovery process. Sometimes stress can affect muscle pains and aches, so many doctors and experts recommend Yoga or meditation which are good ways to help you relax and  sleep . It’s recommended to apply all the above advice and recommendations if you want to feel good and free of aches and pains in your muscles or other parts of your body.
